The Digicel Fiji Sevens team is slowly toning down their physical preparation as the team management work on motivating the players on the task ahead of them in defending the Melrose Cup in Dubai this weekend.
After watching the players in action against Japan in the warm up match, manager Alifereti Malo said coach Iliesa Tanivula's message to the players is to believe in themselves and give their 100 percent for their country.
Malo added the senior players in the team like Vilimoni Delasau, Apolosi Satala and Jone Daunivucu are leading by example.
Meanwhile South Africa comes into this tournament as the top team on paper.
But they know all too well how dangerous such a tag can be in the build-up to a World Cup.
Team coach Paul Treu seems comfortable with how his team has prepared so far.
