The Digicel Fiji Sevens team officials were not satisfied with the decision by the match referee in the Cup final, which saw Samoa beat Fiji 19-14 to win the London Sevens title this morning.
Nasoni Roko's last minute try for the Cup final was disallowed under controversial circumstances when Setefano Cakau tackled one of the Samoan players before the try was scored.
Speaking to Fijivillage from London, team manager Opetaia Ravai said they have accepted the defeat.
Ravai said despite the loss, he's pleased with the performance of the players.
Meanwhile, New Zealand has won the 2007-2008 IRB World Sevens Series after beating South Africa 14-12 in the Plate final.
Team coach Gordon Tietjens said this is not the way they wanted to win the series but a title is a title.
