Chairman of the Tailevu Provincial Council, Josefa Serulagilagi has raised concern on the decision made by the Tailevu Bose Vanua to reject the Interim Government's proposed People's Charter and the GCC review committee.

Serulagilagi said the Tailevu Provincial Council had already endorsed the People's Charter during the last provincial council meeting and he raised concern that some chiefs who agreed on the charter during the last provincial council meeting now have a different point of view.

He said the provincial council is the only legal body to make decisions for the province, not the Bose Vanua.

He said he will call an urgent provincial council meeting to discuss the matter next week.

Serulagilagi returned to the country yesterday after he led a delegation of cocoa farmers from Tailevu North to Sweden on the invitation of some investors.
