The Public Service Commission has been taking serious steps to monitor the work of civil servants and will ensure those performing outstandingly, gets rewarded through its service excellence awards programme.
PSC Permanent Secretary, Parmesh Chand in a press conference today confirmed a total of 84 evaluators have been assigned to conduct on site visits to identify those civil servants who fall in the category of awards.
Chand says a number of events have been organized before the actual awards night takes place.
He adds recognizing the work of civil servants has had a huge impact on the service delivery.
PSC is looking at 10 major awards this year which falls in commitment to service excellence, achievement in service excellence, and Fiji Public excellence category.
The service excellence awards will be held on the 27th of this month at the Vodafone Arena.
