The players of the Digicel Fiji Sevens Team have been reminded of the need to take a serious approach from the first match of the Dubai Sevens tournament which kicks off this evening.

Team manager Sale Sorovaki said it is not just about winning the Dubai Sevens tournament but also the IRB Series, which Fiji last won in 2006.

Over the past years, Sevens rugby has grown more competitive and no team in the Sevens code can be taken lightly as rugby nations have also started to take the sport seriously, as it will become part of the 2016 Olympics.

Sorovaki said the coaching staff has been holding meetings with individual players in the team discussing the importance of winning every game.
