Former National 7s coach Waisale Serevi's dream of playing in the Hong Kong 7s this year will depend on his availability for next week's BP Oil National 7s series in Lautoka.

The 7s maestro has been named as the coach of the Suva team in the one day 7s tournament but it is not clear at this stage whether he will be part of the Capital City side as he is also expected to lead the Drifters team in the Darwin 7s in Australia on the same weekend.

Next week's National 7s will be the selection ground of the Fiji 7s team to the Wellington and San Diego 7s while a 25 member squad will be named after the final to be part of the training squad for the Hong Kong 7s.

Fiji 7s manager Opetaia Ravai said that it is a must for all local players to play in the National 7s to be selected for the Hong Kong 7s.
