Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan said Waisale Serevi was acting as an interpreter for the national side during the Hong Kong 7s.

Many people are raising questions on why Serevi was speaking to players during half time.

Serevi did not have any official position in the management team and moved in from last week.

Fijivillage questioned Ryan why Serevi was delivering the half time messages most of the time.

National coach, Ben Ryan said he was giving the message to Serevi before half time and Serevi was relaying the message to the team.

Ryan added that he just did not want the opposition to hear some things being said at half time and that's why he preferred the message to be in the itaukei language.

However Serevi spoke in the English language most of the time.

The Vodafone Fiji 7s team will arrive on Wednesday before the extended training squad resumes training next Monday for the next tournament in Scotland on the 4th and 5th of May.
