Serevi helps side into final
Serevi scored a try for Lomaiviti in the semifinals against Hydro and helped his team reach the final of the Cup competition at the Fiji Bitter Marist Sevens with a 19-10 victory.
Serevi is eyeing a spot in the 25-man squad for the Rugby World Cup Sevens tournament but it now depends on the selectors and whether they will chose the maestro.
Lomaiviti will now face the Digicel Fiji Warriors in the final, which will start in the next 15 minutes at the National Stadium.
Earlier, the Fiji Warriors defeated Police Blues 19-0 in the first semifinal.
The Fiji Warriors in the final will have Semisi Naevo, Watisoni Votu, Peni Rokodiva, William Rasileka, Vereniki Goneva, Pio Tuwai, Jerry Burotu, Apisai Nayaco while Lomaiviti will have Sevens maestro Waisale Serevi, William Ryder, Waisale Suka, Epeli Ruivadra, Marika Vunibaka, Viliame Satala and Kelemedi Bola.
The final between the two sides will start shortly and the winner will today walk away from the TFL National Stadium with the first prize-money of $10,000.
