The Digicel Fiji 7s coach Waisale Serevi is yet to sign his contract with the Fiji Rugby Union.
Serevi was appointed the head coach last month after the FRU advertised for the post.
It is understood that Serevi is not happy with some of the conditions in his contract and has asked FRU to reconsider it before he puts pen to paper.
It is believed that FRU has told Serevi to either coach or play but Serevi earlier stated that he is still fit to play and help Fiji lift the Melrose Cup for the third time next year.
Serevi will meet with FRU Chief executive Ratu Timoci Tavanavanua sometime next week to finalise his contract.
