Digicel Fiji 7s Coach Waisale Serevi wants a win in the IRB World 7s Series before the defence of the Melrose Cup.
Fiji failed to win the first leg in Dubai and George and are now preparing for the second leg, the Wellington and San Diego 7s tournaments in February.
Serevi said they desperately need a win in Wellington and San Diego to boost, Fiji's chances of retaining the 7s World Cup title.
He said the World Cup is not his main focus at the moment his concentration is on the Wellington 7s.
The Wellington 7s tournament will be held in February. Fiji has been drawn in Pool D with USA, Cook Islands and Samoa.
