Digicel Fiji 7's Coach, Waisale Serevi is now looking at assessing the fitness levels of the young team he has been handed by taking part in competitions against local clubs.
The Board of National selectors chose a relatively young team with four new caps while 8 players have been retained from the side that went for the last leg of the IRB 7's series in George and Dubai.
Serevi said despite wanting to retain some old players for experience he will test these new players by organising a few club games this week.
While the selectors have decided to drop Ponipate Kato and Lepani Nabuliwaqa because they failed the fitness test, the wizard believes the duo have the experience to be in the team.
Fiji is in Pool D in the Wellington 7's with Samoa, USA and Cook Islands. And with Fiji's first game against USA at 12.44pm next Friday.
