Bua flyer Rupeni Caucau is high on the overseas based players shopping list demand for Digicel Fiji 7s rugby coach, Waisale Serevi to defend the Melrose Cup in March.
After a back to back semifinal loss to South Africa in Dubai and George, Serevi said Caucau will be considered to strengthen Fiji in Dubai for the World Cup.
He also added that Fiji will need the services of overseas based players to stand a chance of retaining the Melrose Cup.
Meanwhile, Flying Fijian 15s rugby Coach Ilivasi Tabua said negotiations are already underway with players they have identified to be part of the team.
Tabua confirmed that under the IRB rules players can only be released from their respective clubs with a week to go for the tournament but he is hoping for the best outcome.
