The Vodafone Fiji Bati wing Akuila Uate could also become a star if he plays in the Rugby Union. Uate has so far scored 5 tries in the Rugby League World Cup, with a hat trick against France and two against Ireland last night.
Digicel Fiji 7s coach Waisale Serevi said the New Castle Knights player played an outstanding match and could be drafted in the National 7s squad, if he is interested in playing the union.
Serevi was Uate has the potential of being a member of his team to the Rugby World Cup 7s next year.
Waisale Serevi was also full of praise for the Vodafone Fiji Bati side, as they reached the semifinals of the Rugby League World Cup.
Serevi said although they will now meet world cup champions Australia in the last four, he believes Fiji Bati will be up for another good showdown.
Vodafone Fiji Bati will play against Australia on Sunday at 9pm.
Last night they beat Ireland by 30 points to 14 to reach the semifinals and also received prize money of $300,000.
