The Fiji Institute of Technology today made three big appointments with an aim to improve education standards delivered through its campus.
The surprise appointment sees Digicel Fiji 7's Coach, Waisale Serevi taking up the position of a Visiting Professor in Sports Education while Economist, Dr. Mahendra Reddy has been appointed the Dean for the Faculty of Commerce, Hospitality and Tourism studies with former Fiji College of Advance Education Principal, Alifereti Cawanibuka has been appointed the Dean for the Faculty of Humanities, Communication and Creative Arts.
While announcing the appointments, FIT Director, Dr Ganesh Chand stressed that they are intending to boost its education in sports and make FIT the centre of excellence in Sports Education in the Asia-Pacific region.
Members of the Digicel Fiji 7's team were also present during the announcement.
