Senior citizens have to pay their full bus fare after the Land Transport Authority was given a directive from the Transport Ministry that the service has been suspended from this month.

A lot of senior citizens argue with bus drivers that no announcement has been made on the matter and they were left in the dark and claim they were forced to pay the full fare.

However, LTA spokesman Ratu Eroni Volavola said the LTA has received the directive and is pleading to senior citizens that the ministry is looking for funds, and the service expected to be implemented again in the near future.
