Six senior players will no doubt retain their place in the Digicel Fiji 7s team for the New Zealand and Las Vegas 7s tournaments.

Setefano Cakau, Manueli Laqai, Joji Ragamate, Ilai Tinai, Samisoni Viriviri and Ulaiyasi Lawavou are expected to be named in the 12 member team this morning.

The question remains as to who are the remaining six players that will join the team.

Lomaiviti Barbarians pair Benito Eremasi and Manasa Nayagi along with Pio Tuwai’s younger brother Josua Tuisova, Wardens hooker Jone Vota, Red Rock captain, Jasa Veremalua and Nemani Nagusa looks good to make the cut.

Assistant coach, Timoci Wainiqolo said they are looking for   versatility in the team.

The team will be named at 10am today.

Stay with us for that.

The New Zealand 7s kicks off in Wellington next Friday with Fiji taking on Scotland at 1.50pm in its first pool match.

Fiji then takes on Australia at 4.46pm and the last pool match is against Portugal at 8.34pm.
