Police have arrested and charged a senior official of the Education Ministry based in Labasa with 14 counts of alleged conversion.
Assistant Spokesperson, Sergeant Atunaisa Sokomuri has confirmed that the former Divisional Education officer North allegedly converted the grants allocated for the upgrading of Lekutu Secondary school, for his personal use.
He has been bailed to appear in the Labasa Magistrates court on 30th of next month.
