A Senior clerk at the Public Service Commission has been sent on leave pending investigations against him, for allegedly being involved in an anti military blog site.

Permanent Secretary for Public Service, Taina Tagicakibau confirms that they are now seriously considering Filipe Nagera's case after he was disciplined for allegedly posting a reference onto a website that is totally anti government.

Tagicakibau said they have made it very clear that the decision against Nagera has nothing to do with the freedom of people from using the internet or computers at work. She said it was his conduct which was found to be unbecoming of a civil servant and he breached the public service code of conduct.

She also stresses that civil servants are supposed to be neutral in whatever political situation and Nagera was allegedly posting the anti government sentiments using government facilities and during working hours as he also had access to confidential information.

Further actions are expected to be taken once PSC completes its investigations.
