Athletics Fiji has made it clear to all athletes vying for a spot for the upcoming Pacific Games that they will only select athletes based on their performance.
Manager Joe Rodan Jnr said training have been ongoing every weekend and athletes have to meet certain qualifying times if they are to make the final cut for the games.
Rodan confirms that former sprint queen Makelesi Bulikiobo has started training with the squad and the door is still open for other former athletes who wish to take part in the pacific games.
Rodan added they are looking at taking 25 athletes and top athletes who are likely to make the cut include, Banuve Tabakaucoro, Younis Bese, Emosi Bure, Kemueli Waqa, Aaron Powell, Leslie Copeland and Elenoa Sailosi.
The Pacific Games will be held from the 4th to the 18th of July.
