The selection door for the Digicel Fiji 7s team is still wide open but for members of the Digicel Fiji Barbarians 7s team, the Uprising Fiji International 7s which kicks off tomorrow is a chance to show the selectors that they can also make the team for the New Zealand 7s next month.
Fiji Babas coach Sale Sorovaki said they are in a tough pool this weekend with games against the two best teams in Fiji, Police and Wardens.
Last Saturday they beat Police in the semifinal of the Provincial 7s but lost to Wardens in the final and Sorovaki has reminded his players that they cannot afford the same mistakes this weekend.
For Wardens coach, Joe Savou he has put last week’s win behind him and is concentrating on facing the Police and Fiji Babas team to determine the winner from Pool D.
Fiji will play Wardens at 11.12am tomorrow in their opening pool game of the Uprising Fiji International 7s.
In the first game of day 1 at 9am Samoa will take on Nadroga and you can catch the live commentary on our sister station Viti FM.
