The Police Border Control Unit has stepped up its security at the major port of entries after concerns on the number of illegal items being brought into the country.
Deputy Officer-In-Charge Border Control Unit Inspector Livai Driu said that they have also confiscated some illegal products that were being shipped into the country after concerns by the Bio-Security Division of the Quarantine Department.
He said items that they are clamping down on are mainly Chinese products that have been banned but are still found in some of the shops.
