A 27-year-old Security Officer of Suva is fighting for his life at the CWM hospital after being stabbed several times on his neck, stomach and hands last night.

The incident took place at Ratu Sukuna Road at 7'o clock when the security officer was on duty looking after a property.

Police Spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed the security officer spotted an unknown man trying to make his way inside the property.

Sokomrui added that the Officer tried to apprehend the man but in the process he was stabbed several times with a kitchen knife.

The unknown man fled the scene after the incident and Police are now waiting for the security Officer to recover before his statement is expected to be taken.

Meanwhile, Police are still hunting for two youths in relation to the robbery at BP service station at the Nabua Round about yesterday.

Police faced difficulties in questioning the four youths that arrested yesterday as they were drunk when brought into custody.

Police have not recovered cash or any item as yet.
