Secrecy surrounds TFL board status
The Board of Directors appointed earlier included Felix Anthony as Chairman, James Dutta, Howard Politini, Lionel Yee, Pratap Singh, Arun Narsey and Samu Vadei as Secretary to the Board.
Felix Anthony was seconded to the TFL Board from the Board of FNPF, which is the major shareholder in Amalgamated Telecom Holdings, however since his removal from the FNPF Board, his status as chairman of TFL remains unclear.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Anthony said he is not sure if he is still the Chairman as he has not been advised otherwise.
He said due to this he is not engaging into any matter regarding TFL.
When contacted by Fijivillage some of the others who were appointed to the TFL board said that they are not aware of their status on the board.
ATH CEO Tomasi Vakatora said the issue of the TFL Board is a delicate matter.
He said they have a business to run and will not indulge in these matters.
He only confirmed that the ATH Board, which appoints the board members of TFL will meet soon to deliberate on the issue.
TFL Board Secretary Samu Vadei also refused to comment on the matter and refered all queries to the ATH CEO.
