Beginning in the late 60's, and used as a vehicle to unite rival schools, end racism and discrimination as well as instilling discipline and building self-esteem, the Suva Secondary Schools Music Festival is back once again.
More than 400 students from 10 schools will unite in song and dance with the theme "Powerful Beyond Measure" in a show filled with amazing vocal and dance talents.
One of the students performing tonight is Form 5 Gospel High School student Esther Loga, who said her love of singing is what inspired her to join this year’s show.
The Suva Secondary Schools Music Festival 2008 begins tonight and runs till the 23rd at the Tattersall's Leisure Centre.
