The semi finals and finals of the 2016 Tuckers Ice Cream Fiji Secondary Schools Basketball Championship has been postponed to this Saturday following adverse weather conditions in Lautoka.
Basketball Federation of Fiji Media Liaision, Jonathan Steele says they had started the games this morning but due to heavy rain and strong winds, they had to postpone the competition.
He adds that the basketball tournament has been moved to Suva and the semi final and finals will be held this weekend.
LDS College will play Suva Grammar School in the first semi final of the Under 15 boys grade while Marist will face Yat Sen Secondary in the second semi final.
In the Under 15 girls division, LDS will play Yat Sen Secondary in the first semi final while Suva Grammar School will clash with Jasper Williams High School in the second match.
In the Under 17 boys semi finals, Jai Narayan College will face International School Suva while Marist will play LDS.
Under 17 girls semi finals will see LDS take on Gospel High while Saint Josephs Secondary School will play Jai Narayan College in the second match.
Looking at the Under 19 boys semi-finals, Yat Sen Secondary will play Natabua while LDS will play Swami Vivekananda College.
Meanwhile the Under 19 girls division will see LDS College play Suva Grammar while Yat Sen Secondary will play Natabua in the second match.
