The Suva High Court yesterday refused the second bail application by alleged rapist Petero Bai.
Twenty one year old Petero Bai is alleged to have assaulted the student before allegedly raping her earlier this year in the school toilet.
Judge Justice Daniel Goundar in his ruling on the bail application issued a production order that Bai be further remanded awaiting a pre trial conference on the first of next month.
Justice Goundar also said that since the Pre-trial conference was set to start soon, it would not be wise to release him on bail.
Bai is currently being remanded at the Korovou Prison.
