Engineers have now started to dismantle the second silo belonging to Flour Mills of Fiji located at Walu Bay after the first one collapsed on Wednesday, claiming the life of 23 year old Malakai Ratubuli, who died after being buried under 100 tonnes of grain.

When Legend FM news visited the site this morning, engineers had started to cut away pieces from the silo which was damaged due to the collapse of the first one. The silo is still being supported by two cranes as engineers work on it.

And two representatives from an Insurance company are also at the site investigating what could have caused the silo to collapse.

When approached they refused to comment and said details will be released once they complete their investigations.

Meanwhile, Ratubuli's family is now awaiting the arrival of his father from Koro Island and his funeral is expected to be held next Thursday.

A family member told Legend FM news that while FMF Managing Director Sanjay Punja has at this stage agreed to pay for all funeral arrangements they will contemplate legal action once Ratubuli is laid to rest.
