Seavula aims for Pacific Games gold
That is the sentiment of Saint Joseph Secondary School athlete Sisilia Seavula as the trials begin for a place in Team Fiji.
Seavula who bagged gold in the 400m and also won a medal in the 200m in the Intermediate girls category at the Suva Zone 2 last week revealed that while 400mtrs is her strength, she is aiming for gold in the 200mtrs this year in New Caledonia.
She added that while she managed to win her events with ease, more needs to be done to be able to meet the cut off for Team Fiji.
Meanwhile, Marist Brothers High School sprint King, Banuve Tabakaucoro who broke two records at the Zone meet last week, said its back to the drawing board for the Coca Cola Games but has set his sights on the Pacific Games as well.
The Pacific Games will be held in New Caledonia from August 27-10th September and Team Fiji is the defending champions in the Track events.
