New Zealand Football chief executive Graham Seatter will visit Europe next week to seek compensation from FIFA, for the cancelled match against Fiji, but it is highly unlikely that FIFA will help out.

The NZF are in a sticky situation financially and have recorded losses each of the past three years sine Seatter was appointed and it was his "No 1" objective for the national body to at least break even this financial year.

The losses will only plunge them deeper into the red as they have already been in $450,000 debt at the end of the last financial year.

NZF will have to make significant cuts in their spending if they're not compensated and deciding not to send teams overseas was one option.

FIFA want the situation over replaying the match resolved by the end of the month.
