In an effort to help farmers increase production levels of their crops for local and export sales, the Seaqaqa Research Station is continuing its production of planting materials for farmers.

Acting Director for the Research Division Miliakere Nawaikula said this activity will ensure the continuous supply of quality and healthy planting materials to farmers and these crops include five tonnes of ginger, five tonnes of yams, 100,000 kumala cuttings and 10,000 dalo-ni-tana suckers.

Nawaikula said agricultural activity is growing in the Northern Division, with a village now opening up an export market in Australia for their ginger crop.
