Over 150 scouts between the ages of 8 to 11 years are currently camping at Vunidawa Indian School to mark its 6th Fiji National Jamboree.
Assistant Chief Commissioner Kajol Umarao said this event held every three years is an opportunity for young scouts to participate in various skill activities and experience the basics of living and survival.
He added that there are medical staffs as well present.
Meanwhile, Fijivillage spoke to two students, Alifoso a class 6 student of Nakelo District and Shavneel of Vunimono Sanatan Dharam School who said that they will learn a lot from the one week event.
More scouts are expected to join the event today.
