The Scotland Sevens team will once again be one of the teams that can cause major upsets in the upcoming Hong Kong Sevens tournament.

After a slow start to the season, the Scots showed improvement at the last two rounds of World Series in New Zealand and the US, twice reaching the Cup quarterfinals and enjoying notable wins against Fiji and England.

Currently, the Scots lie 12th in the Series standings, only one place above that relegation danger zone.

The Scotland Sevens team now faces a mammoth task of qualifying for the quarterfinals in Hong Kong as they will go against Portugal, England and Samoa in pool play.

Meanwhile, the Hong Kong 7's will be played from the 22nd to the 24th of this month.

Fiji is pooled with Hong Kong, Spain and Canada.
