Fiji’s first pool opponent at the Gold Coast 7s, Scotland, is aiming to reach the quarterfinals this weekend.
Captain Colin Gregor said Tonga, Fiji and Australia are all world class teams but it will not deter them from achieving their goal.
Speaking on the IRB website, Gregor added Fiji is first up for them and they are planning to surprise the Fijians.
Scotland will meet Fiji in its first pool match at 2:42pm on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Fiji 7s team is wrapping up preparations in Nadi before they leave at 8:15am tomorrow for Gold Coast.
