Former All Black John Schwalger will play for Wellington in this year's New Zealand Provincial Competition and has signed a two year deal with the Hurricanes.

The 29 year old prop has returned after two seasons with Agen in France's Top 14 competition to resume his career in New Zealand.

Schwalger, who played two tests for the All Blacks in 2007 and 2008 against Canada and Ireland respectively, has committed to the Lions for the 2013 and 2014 seasons and the Hurricanes for 2014 and 2015 Super Rugby campaigns.

Meanwhile Hurricanes coach Mark Hammett is happy with the returns of his key players including captain Conrad Smith and Dan Coles.

The Hurricanes will meet the Brumbies at 9.40pm tomorrow while the Crusaders take on the Waratahs at 7.35pm.
