Samoa captain Mahonri Schwalger could not contain his disappointment with referee Nigel Owens following his side’s 13-5 defeat to the Springboks last night.

Schwalger said if some of those decisions had gone their way they could have put some points on South Africa.

Referee Owens played a major hand in the final quarter of the match, red carding Samoa fullback Paul Williams for an off the ball strike on Springboks flanker Heinrich Brussow, before showing John Smit a yellow for a deliberate knockdown.

Springboks coach Peter de Villiers was happy with the Springbok’s performance saying this game was brilliant for them.

Meanwhile, in the matches today Australia plays Russia at 2.30pm, France will take on Tonga at 5pm and England will battle it out with Scotland at 7.30pm.
