Former All Black prop John Schwalger has been given clearance to play the remaining three rounds of Super Rugby for the Hurricanes by the New Zealand Rugby Union.

The clearance means that Schwalger will be available for the Hurricanes match against the Chiefs in Hamilton on Friday which would be his first Super Rugby match in New Zealand for three years.

Twenty eight year old Schwalger played for the Hurricanes against the Crusaders in a friendly match on Friday.

The Hurricanes will play the Chiefs at 7.35pm this Friday.

On Saturday, the Crusaders will play the Highlanders at 7.35pm.
