Suva Grammar School’s Under 16 girls soccer team is looking good to qualify for Fiji’s first ever Fiji Secondary Schools girls Under 16 soccer championship after beating Cathedral Secondary 2-1 yesterday.

Other schools in the Southern Division that will be vying for a spot in the national championship include St Josephs Secondary, Nasinu Sangam School, Vashist Muni College and Dudley High school.

A total of 37 schools from around the country will be playing this week in their zonal playoffs to win a place in the championship.

The top 12 schools from around the country will play in the National Championship next week at Govind Park.
