2010 has started off well for four schools who have received much needed assistance from the Japanese Embassy totally a little more than $600,000.

Dreketi High School received $143,884 for the construction of 3 new classrooms, Valelawa Indian school in Dreketi has been provided with $130,000 which will see the completion of a water supply system to the school, Bishop Kempthorne Memorial School in Nasinu has received $182,000 which will be used to construct three new classrooms while in Ba, Nukuloa College has received $146,880 which will be used to construct a three classroom complex and the purchase of a 5,000 litre plastic tank.

The Japanese Embassy First Secretary Tatsushi Matsua said they will continue helping the schools which need infrustructural development.
