Parents and students need to know what their school's plans are in light of a tsunami warning or an actual tsunami and Lomary Primary School and Veiuto Primary are currently going through this process.
Veiuto Primary Assistant Head teacher Sainiana Hicks said parents will have a meeting this afternoon to explore their exit strategies.
Hicks said they have opted for a buddy system to help with their evacuation plans.
Lomary Primary Teacher Master Samu Bulavakarua said where they're located along the Queens Highway, they're the first line of impact if a tsunami was to hit adding they will be undergoing a drill today to see how fast they can move to high ground.
Bulavakarua said last Thursday after the tsunami warning was issued on air, it took them more than 15 minutes to evacuate and during today's drill they want to cut this time down to eight minutes.
