While there is a buzz of excitement on the last day of term 2 of school today and the Coca Cola games tomorrow, there is also an air of sadness as schools held special ceremonies to farewell their senior teachers who retire today.
One such teacher is the outgoing Head Teacher of Veiuto Primary School Apaloni Tuiqamea who has spent 38 years of her life education our children. She said it’s sad to leave but is proud of her achievements.
Retiring Cathedral Secondary School Teacher Master Mario Muavesi, who joined the education Ministry in 1989 has this message for the young educators who will come in to replace them.
