Any school between the Suva and Nausori corridor that is facing water disruptions since this morning can close.

Permanent Secretary for Education, Doctor Brij Lal said there is a policy in place where a school can close if it is having water shortage for more than two hours.

He said the school should contact the parents of the students and arrange for their school bus drop off.

Meanwhile, Vunimono High School has closed and is advising parents to pick their children.

The water disruption is a result of an electrical fault at the Waila Treatment plant and as a result water supply to the Suva - Nausori corridor will be disrupted for the whole day today.
