Not only are the authorities exploring exit strategies and evacuation plans following last Thursday's tsunami warning but so too are schools.

Fijivillage News spoke to Cathedral Secondary School and Stella Marist Primary School on their exit strategies, as both are situated along the Nasese seafront in Suva.

Cathedral Secondary Principal, Eroni Vuki said they are finding out as much as they can about tsunamis and the possibility of it happening to Fiji.

Vuki said in light of a warning or an actual tsunami, they would go out the back of the school onto Sukuna Rd then to Muanikau and then to higher ground adding they are looking at having more than one exit towards the back of the school for more students to go through.

Stella Marist Head Teacher, Master Dan Burese said they do have plans in place adding head teachers and principals must use their own discretion in times of such warnings or disasters.
