The Education Ministry has found despite the Ministry's directive for schools not to entertain individuals and organisations in their schools to impart knowledge and skills they have found that some schools are continuing to defy this directive.

According to a statement released by the Ministry, while they acknowledge and appreciate the initiative taken by these schools to seek extra support and training expertise, it is equally important that these individuals are registered under the Category of "Limited Authority to Teach".

In a Circular issued to schools, the Education Ministry has issued a warning that schools, individuals and organisations that disregard this directive will have to pay fines under the Fiji Teacher Registration Board Promulgation.

The Ministry said while different organizations have different motives for visiting schools, the primary issue is how beneficial these visits are.
