Schools basketball tournament starts today
The 2012 Tuckers Fiji secondary schools basketball tournament will bring together more than 600 students who will be playing in three grades in both the girls and boys division.
More than 20 schools will take part in this year’s tournament compared to 15 schools which took part last year.
Queen Victoria School, Ratu Kadavulevu, Dudley High, Cathedral Secondary school and DAV Girls College will be taking part for the first time.
The tournament will be played in the under 15, 17 and 19 grades in the boys and girls divisions from today until Thursday.
Marist Brothers High School is the defending champion of the under 15, 17 and 19 grade in the boys division while in the girls division, Saint Joseph’s Secondary is the under 15 champion, Yat Sen Secondary is the under 17 champion and Latter Day Saints College is the under 19 champion.
