The Fiji secondary schools sevens rugby competition will go ahead today with the association footing the bills.

Association president Paula Motu said that no one has stepped forward to assist them and as a result they will be relying on the gate takings and registration fees from the 48 teams taking part.

The secondary schools rugby will get underway at the TFL Stadium today with the Under 14, Under 15 and Under 17 and Under 19 grades.

Schools as far as Nasikawa to Ba Methodist along with some top guns, Lelean Memorial School, Suva Grammar School and John Wesley College are taking part.
