Parents are to note that school transport assistance forms are already out at all Post Fiji outlets and not just one.

Fijivillage News received calls from concerned parents saying that forms had run out, however the Education Ministry said parents can also check with their respective schools for the forms, as the head teachers and principals were to have collected their forms from the Education District Offices last week.

Parents and students are urged to collect the forms and complete them before returning it to their school on enrolment day for endorsement by the Head Teacher or Principal.

Forms not endorsed will not be considered.

Only those students from families, whose total household income is $15,000 or less, will be eligible for this transport assistance, while special consideration will be given to those families above the $15,000 threshold provided good reasons are given for the hardship they are facing.

These will have to be assessed by the Social Welfare Department for the consideration of the Education Permanent Secretary.
