A Secondary school teacher of a Korovou school is under police investigation for allegedly assaulting a student who was staying at the hostel.
Divisional Police Commander Eastern, SSP Emosi Baleinuku has confirmed that police are awaiting the medical report of the 19 year old Vocational Student before interviewing the teacher.
The student who is originally from Lami sustained serious facial during the incident.
The victim is now staying with his parents in Lami.
