42 students of Uciwai District School in Keteira, Moala, Lau will have to start with what they have left when school resumes next week.

According to the Headteacher, Waisea Lalanabaravi while waiting for the assistance from the government, the committee of the school has already rebuilt a classroom and the restroom as they were badly damaged by strong winds.

Lalanabaravi said after spending five years at Keteira, the destruction left by Hurricane Tomas has been devastating which will not be easily forgotten.

Meanwhile the Permanent Secretary for Education Filipe Jitoko said that officials from the Ministry are at this moment loading stationery and school supplies bound for the Lau group.
