The Education Minister said any student found to be suffering from similar symptoms as Pandemic H1N1 will be referred to the nearest health centre or hospital by the school head.
Filipe Bole said that school heads have been warned to keep a look out for the possible H1N1 outbreak in schools and teachers around the country have been told to monitor students carefully daily.
He said schools have been advised to inform students about Pandemic H1N1 and health hygiene practices like washing their hands after visiting toilets and using handkerchiefs for sneezing and coughing.
Fiji has so far recorded 27 confirmed cases of H1N1.
