A 41 year old former school teacher was today sentenced to 12 months imprisonment after he was found guilty on a charge of indecent practice between males.

Robin Agnu in April 2006 invited a nine year old boy to his home to help him with some work. He later told the boy to undress and indecently fondled the little boy.

In court today, Magistrate Aruna Prasad told the man that being a professional teacher he should be a role model to the children however with his actions, he will be sent to jail to learn his lesson.

The teacher was a landlord of the victim and his family in Raiwaqa.
